so when you have all the bits of copper twisted off ,cut off any excess copper wire, now get 2 hammers put one under each wire join and tap with the other on the top so that you flatten the wire into the wood a BIT then put some masking tape along the bottom of the joint and then I used this after wetting down the joint.
